"Israel" "Defense" Force Thugs Wound Nine at Funeral of Boy Killed by "Israel" "Security" Forces

The Israelis create terror.

Palestinians: IDF troops wound 9 at boy's funeral in West Bank

7-31-08

Haaretz

Israel Defense Forces troops wounded nine Palestinians in the West Bank city of Ramallah on Wednesday in a clash with protesters at the funeral of a 11-year-old boy killed a day earlier, Palestinian medics said.

They said the troops had shot the casualties with rubber bullets while fighting stone-throwing protesters. A 18-year-old Palestinian was hit in the head by a rubber bullet and doctors described him as brain dead.

An initial Border Police investigation has found that Ahmed Moussa , 11, who was killed at a West Bank protest on Tuesday, died from a live round fired by one of the security force's troops.

Ahmed Moussa died during a confrontation with Israeli security forces on Tuesday in the West Bank village of Na'alin. Villagers have been protesting for months against Israel's separation fence.

The Border Police concluded its initial probe into the incident on Wednesday morning.

Also Wednesday, Ramallah governor Said Abu Ali said an autopsy showed that the 11-year-old was shot by live fire. Moussa's autopsy was conducted Wednesday in the West Bank town of Ramallah.

Abu Ali said the autopsy indicated that the boy was struck by a bullet from an M16 rifle.

Israel sought to do a joint autopsy with the Palestinians either in Israel or in the West Bank, but Palestinian officials refused, Ali said.

Residents of Na'alin protest almost daily against Israel's separation barrier, which threatens to take over hundreds of acres of the town's olive groves. The demonstrations frequently turn into confrontations between stone-throwing youths and Israeli troops firing tear gas and rubber-coated bullets.

Following Tuesday's fatal clash, meanwhile, IDF GOC Central Command Gadi Shamni decided to deploy a special Border Police force trained in riot control to the area, which has recently seen a rise in violence.

Kosher Catholics participate in Farcical Rally at Postville

The rabbis and their Kosher-Catholic golem don't care about the welfare of the illegal immigrant workers of the Chabad-run Agriprocessors kosher meat plant in Postville, Iowa. If they did they would have been protesting the workers' treatment by Chabad slave drivers before the raid took place. They're not even protesting the horrid conditions they worked under even now. Instead, like the Kabbalists they are, they use the thesis of the Postville immigration raid as an occasion to push their antithesis--calling out for "immigration reform" which is to say, they want more of these poor people to flood into the United States, and not for humanitarian ends.

Like most corporations, U.S. Catholic bishops have based their business plan on a future U.S. where undereducated, poorly paid Hispanics form the majority of the population.

Rally supports Agriprocessors workers

07/28/2008 - JTA

An interfaith rally in support of undocumented workers arrested in a raid on a kosher slaughterhouse was held in Postville, Iowa.

More than 900 people, mainly Jews and Catholics, called for national immigration reform and support for the nearly 400 undocumented workers arrested in the massive immigration raid two months ago at Agriprocessors, the nation’s largest kosher meat plant.

Spearheaded by Jewish Community Action, a Jewish social action group headquartered in Minneapolis, Sunday's event was co-sponsored by the local Catholic church along with the Chicago-based Jewish Council on Urban Affairs, the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society and Jewish Labor Committee.

Seven busloads of Jewish activists from Chicago and the Twin Cities arrived in Postville to take part, including two busloads of teenagers from the Conservative movement’s Camp Ramah in Wisconsin.

“We’re here because we care,” Rabbi Harold Kravitz of Adath Jeshurun Congregation in Minneapolis said at an interfaith service that preceded the rally. Biblical heroes Abraham and Sarah were invoked as “the first immigrants” to an overflow crowd that included women arrested in the federal immigration raid for working without proper documents.

“The immigration system is broken, the way we enforce working standards is broken,” said Vic Rosenthal, the director of Jewish Community Action, which brought the largest contingent of out-of-state Jewish supporters.

Funds are being raised to help the families of detained and unemployed plant workers, most of them from Guatemala and Mexico. Leaders of the Catholic and Jewish groups met with a representative from Agriprocessors before the rally, the first of several such discussions.

Kosher-Catholic Paulist Press Pushes "Noahide" Fraud

Paulist Press has published a book titled, Jesus the Pharisee which is based upon a ridiculous fable from the 18th century rabbi, Jacob Emden which has it that Jesus Christ was a Pharisee whose mission was to teach the Talmudic "Noahide Laws" to the Goyim.

Rabbi Pulls Back the Veil on Judaism's Paganism

Benedict's elder brothers are coming forward to claim responsibility for the pagan undercurrent that plagues the West.

The way the issue is framed in this article is very dishonest. The "newly discovered" concepts revealed below are central to Orthodox Judaism.

God thus becomes a dual-gendered deity, bringing together all the male and female energy in the universe, the yin and the yang ...

Rabbi unveils a secret of God

By Gary Stern
The Journal News • July 21, 2008

The tradition-bound Western image of a he-man, masculine God may already be thousands of years out of date, says a Westchester rabbi who believes he has unlocked the secret to God's name and androgynous nature.

Rabbi Mark Sameth contends in a soon-to-be-published article that the four-letter Hebrew name for God - held by Jewish tradition to be unpronounceable since the year 70 - should actually be read in reverse. When the four letters are flipped, he says, the new name makes the sounds of the Hebrew words for "he" and "she."

God thus becomes a dual-gendered deity, bringing together all the male and female energy in the universe, the yin and the yang that have divided the sexes from Adam and Eve to Homer and Marge.

"This is the kind of God I believe in, the kind of God that makes sense to me, in a language that speaks very, very deeply to human aspirations and striving," Sameth said. "How could God be male and not female?"

Sameth, 54, the spiritual leader of Pleasantville Community Synagogue, first hit on his theory more than a decade ago when he was a rabbinical student. Since then, he has quietly pieced together clues and supporting evidence from the Hebrew Bible or Old Testament and the vast body of rabbinic literature.

His article "Who is He? He is She: The Secret Four-Letter Name of God" will appear in the summer issue of the CCAR Journal, published by the Central Conference of American Rabbis, an association of Reform rabbis.

Sameth's theory is not as outlandish as it might seem to the uninitiated. For one thing, Jewish mystical traditions have long found levels of meaning in the Hebrew Bible beyond those that come from a literal or metaphorical reading. For another, there is a deep tradition in Jewish prayer and thinking, particularly among the so-called mystics, of seeking to reconcile the male and female elements in the universe.

Sameth's article includes this: "What the mystics called 'the secret of one' is the inner unification of the sometimes competing, sometimes complementing masculine and feminine energies that reside within each of us, regardless whether we are male or female."

The notion that God is what Sameth calls a "hermaphroditic deity" could energize the growing movement in many religious traditions to present God in gender-neutral terms, particularly in Scripture.

Rabbi Lawrence Kushner, a revered scholar among liberal Jews who has written extensively on Jewish mysticism and spirituality, called Sameth's article "delicious, thought-provoking and wise." Kushner is among a small group of scholars and friends with whom Sameth has shared his article in recent weeks.

"I think most people assume the God of the Hebrew Bible is masculine, but Mark, through some sound and clever research, suggests that God may have always been androgynous," Kushner said. "This can affect the way we consider holiness and the divine, and invites us to reconsider our own gender identities, which is kind of a bombshell."

The Hebrew name of God that is known as the Tetragrammaton - the four letters Yud-Hay-Vov-Hay - appears 6,823 times in the Hebrew Bible. Since early Hebrew script included no vowels, the pronunciation of the name was known by those who heard it.

According to Sameth's footnotes, the name was said only by priests after the destruction of the First Temple in 586 BCE. After the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 CE, the name was no longer said and the pronunciation lost.

Jewish tradition has long held that the name was too sacred to articulate. Jews have generally used Adonai, "the Lord," in place of the Tetragrammaton. Various Christian groups have pronounced the name as "Yahweh" or "Jehovah."

Sameth has no intention of speaking the "reversed" name of God that he has uncovered, preferring to focus on its meaning.

"I still won't pronounce it, intentionally, as God's name," he said. "I'm not suggesting that anyone pronounce the name."

Sameth became fascinated with Jewish mysticism while a rabbinical student in Jerusalem during the early 1990s. He studied with Moshe Idel, a pre-eminent scholar on mysticism, and learned how medieval Spanish Kabbalists and others uncovered mystical meanings from the Torah that had been shrouded in patterns of words and letters.

Once back in New York, at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, the Reform seminary, Sameth was studying the biblical story of the prophet Nathan reprimanding King David for murder, which becomes a turning point for David. Sameth realized that the Hebrew forms of both names, Nathan and David, are palindromes, words with spellings that can be reversed.

It was, as they say, a revelation.

"It's about reversibility," Sameth said. "King David is changing the direction of his life, and the two key characters, their names are palindromes. What are the chances of that?"

A new zeal for biblical reversibility led Sameth to flip the four Hebrew letters of the unpronounceable Tetragrammaton. In his head, he heard the Hebrew words hu and hi. That's "he/she" in English.

And he felt connected to a long line of Jewish mystics who have mused about the male and female coming together.

"I really believed that I had found something significant," Sameth said. "Then I did 10 years of study to see if I could find support for it."

Much of his article consists of weaving together clues and examples from Jewish Scripture and wisdom that offer historical context for his thesis. For example, Sameth contends that the Zohar - a medieval, mystical Torah commentary - was referring to God's dual-gender "when it suggested that the sin of Adam was that he ruined the marriage between the feminine and masculine halves of God by divorcing himself from the feminine."

He also writes: "We realize now that the secret was almost revealed by the 13th-century Torah commentator Rabbeinu Bachya, who makes note of every four-word cluster in the Torah whose rashei teivot, or initial letters, spell out the Tetragrammaton in reverse."

Rabbi Jonathan Stein, editor of the CCAR Journal, was on vacation and not available for comment.

Sameth has been the only rabbi at the decade-old Pleasantville Community Synagogue, a self-described "trans-denominational" congregation that includes elements of Reform, Conservative and Reconstructionist Judaism. Congregants come from many backgrounds and communities to the synagogue, which has become known for hearty singing and dancing during services.

Talking recently about his years of study to grasp the meaning of God's name, Sameth had to stop, swallow hard and take a breath when describing what it's like to receive sparks of insight from the great Jewish thinkers of long ago.

"It is a form of transcendence to be connected in that way," he said.

Sameth doesn't believe that he has stumbled on a previously unknown understanding of God's name, but that he has been able to connect the dots in a fresh way.

Those who find meaning in his work, he said, may encounter a different understanding of God that is comforting to feminists and those on many spiritual journeys. They may also read the Torah differently.

"If this interpretation is correct, it says that the Torah is a mystical or esoteric text," he said. "The mystics have been saying all these years that the text conceals more than it reveals. It is structured with different levels of meaning and reveals itself over time. We're talking about one tradition that goes all the way back."

Katherine Kurs, a religion scholar who teaches at New School University and is an associate minister at West-Park (Presbyterian) Church in Manhattan, said that the image of God presented by Sameth will have great appeal to many people who are searching for spiritual meaning.

"Mark's unveiling is part of a mystic lineage that presents a prismatic experience of God, that says there are ways of experiencing God that contain and explode categories simultaneously," said Kurs, who has known Sameth since they studied together almost 20 years ago. "This God is not a male or even a female but a male-female or female-male, a God that holds tension and paradox, a full-spectrum bandwidth God."

Sameth has shared his image of a dual-gendered God with the seventh- and eighth-graders he teaches at his synagogue. He said they've been very receptive, which isn't surprising because they are growing up in a post-modern age.

"As post-moderns, we've been conditioned to a different relationship with language," he said. "That's why there is all this interest now in Jewish mysticism."

He wonders how, 2,000 years from now, people will understand the final chapter of "Ulysses," which includes no punctuation. Will they try to add punctuation, believing that it's been lost? Or will they grasp that James Joyce knew what he was doing?

"Joyce was playing with language, using language to play with the medium," Sameth said. "And the Torah isn't just about Noah taking the animals, twosies by twosies. If that's what the Torah was all about, how could it have captivated Western civilization for 3,000 years? There had to be more."

New Sanhedrin Just as Clownishly Hypocritical as the Old One

In anticipation of the upcoming 2008 Olympics in China the rabbis of the new Sanhedrin of counterfeit Israel have handed down a ruling in which they express outrage at the Chinese for cutting organs from living people. The new Sanhedrin has called upon the Chinese government to adopt their so-called "Noahide Laws" under which "idolators" (those who believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ) would have their heads cut off.

Watch now as the "beautiful people" of Hollywood, prominent church goers and politicians shriek kosher selective "moral" outrage against China in such a cacophony as to drown out the victims of the crimes of counterfeit Israel for whom they care not.

‘Sanhedrin’ against Beijing Olympics

Re-established Jewish Sanhedrin rules against participation in Chinese-hosted Olympic Games

Only three weeks are left before the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games open, and the remonstration against holding the games is joined by the Sanhedrin (Talmudical tractate) rabbis.

Following rallies, boycotts and attempts to sabotage the Olympic Torch Relay worldwide, the court ruled Wednesday that the Chinese government’s murder and amputation of living people by using punishment, revenge and deterrence, therefore “participating in these Olympics will be deemed a danger to the well-being of humanity.”

In their ruling, the judges clarify that they are not intervening in or opposing the country’s authority to convict criminals violating The Seven Laws of Noah (also referred to as the Noahide Laws), but cannot be so cruel as to turn them into a “organ bank.”

According to testimonies, the Chinese regime imprisons them in masses in detention camps and exercises an array of torturous punishment methods including murdering and amputating living people. The Israeli athletes further claimed that the Chinese government puts the victims’ organs on sale throughout the world.

As part of examining the case, the Sanhedrin sent emissaries to collect testimonials in Israel and abroad. The judges were also presented with documents by renowned international organizations supporting this harsh reality.

Plot brewed by libeling sources

The court also approached the Chinese embassy in Israel, asking them to present their government’s stance in the matter. The judges said they were approached by diplomatic sources in Israel in China to not discuss the case, fearing it would harm the countries’ relations, but “being sovereign, the Sanhedrin did not think it should agree to such requests.”

The embassy’s representatives ultimately met with the judges, claiming the case is a plot brewed by sources trying to libel the government, and that the Falun Gong athletes are a medical nuisance by trying to incite civilians against conventional medical treatments.

The rabbis wrote in their verdict that “the court has reached its conclusion based on the accumulated multiple circumstantial evidence that there is indeed a severe phenomenon of murdering innocent Falun Gong men, also motivated by financial calculations of commercially exploiting their organs.”

The court called upon the Chinese government to adopt and enforce the Noahide Laws prohibiting murder and theft, and added that “the Jewish nation has experienced the Holocaust under the heavy hand of the Germans during the Nazi regime, which massacred millions of Jews, and therefore must be especially sensitive to the outcry of the persecuted.”

On taking part in the Chinese-hosted Olympics, the Sanhedrim said: “The Chinese government is about to host the Olympics – an event which brings people of different nations closer together…disregarding the bloodshed of the innocent may seem as an encouragement similar to Hitler’s during his rule in Berlin.”

The Sanhedrin’s judges, convening as an International Court of Law presided by Rabbi Adin Even-Yisrael (Shteinzaltz), discussed the claims of Israeli athletes training in Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong), a high-level Buddhist cultivation practice believed to bring great improvements in health and fitness. According to the athletes, their Chinese counterparts, who advocate truthfulness, benevolence, and forbearance, are persecuted by the Chinese government, who believes the athletes are acting against it.

Bishop Fisher Says Activist Parents of Two Girls Repeatedly Raped by Priest are "Dwelling Crankily on Old Wounds"

This scoundrel, Bishop Anthony Fisher of Australia, who has mocked the Catholic parents of two girls who were repeatedly raped by a priest in a Catholic grade school in Australia--one of whom has since committed suicide--has taken the greatest care in designing a "World Youth Day" stations of the cross which doesn't offend the tender sensibilities of the rabbis:

see:

Another Kosher Stations of the Cross Concocted for "World Youth Day"

Could you imagine Bishop Fisher dismissing the rabbis as "dwelling crankily on old wounds"? It seems to me that Bishop Fisher is operating from the principle that there are two classes of people, one with much higher value than the other. This is not a Christian principle. It's a rabbinic principle.

Youth Day coordinator 'misspoke on abuse'

Thu Jul 17, 2008

ABC News

World Youth Day organisers say comments made by the event's coordinator about victims of sexual abuse do not represent his true attitude, as the Vatican casts doubt on whether the Pope will offer them a full apology.

Bishop Anthony Fisher yesterday said some people were "dwelling crankily on old wounds", in response to fresh criticism about how the Catholic Church handles abuse by the clergy.

The remarks enraged advocates for sex abuse victims.

Bishop Fisher was referring to the case of two sisters who were repeatedly raped by abusive priest Father Kevin O'Donnell in Melbourne while they were in primary school.

Emma Foster committed suicide at the age of 26 earlier this year after suffering from anorexia and drug abuse.

Her younger sister, Katherine Foster, turned to alcohol and now needs 24-hour care after being hit by a car.

Their father, Anthony Foster, is on his way to Sydney from Britain, seeking an audience with Sydney's Archbishop, Cardinal George Pell, or Pope Benedict.

Mr Foster has told ABC TV's Lateline program he is calling for changes in the way the Church deals with victims.

The chief operational officer of World Youth Day, Danny Casey, has defended Bishop Fisher after the event coordinator yesterday expressed disappointment the issue had been raised during celebrations.

"If Bishop Anthony made particular comments about how some in the media seek to portray the church during abuse matters, he's a man of deep compassion, I know he feels great compassion and sympathy for the victims and for all those who have been hurt through abuse," he said.

Father Kevin O'Donnell was never tried on the Foster case but was convicted for other child sex crimes in 1995 and sent to jail. He died in 1997.

Cardinal Pell apologised to the Foster sisters as Archbishop of Melbourne in 1998. He encouraged the family to enter the Towards Healing Program, which capped compensation payments at $50,000.

The family rejected the offer, instead opting to pursue the Catholic Church through the courts for eight years. They eventually negotiated a settlement, believed to be the largest compensation pay-out of its kind in Australia.

Despite an earlier admission and an apology from Cardinal Pell, the Church's lawyers later denied any admissions had been made about the abuse of the two girls.

Apology in doubt

Meanwhile, Pope Benedict's spokesman has raised doubts over whether the pontiff will offer a full and unreserved apology for sexual abuse by clergymen during his visit to Sydney.

The contradictory signal came just three days after the pontiff himself, during his flight to Sydney, said he would apologise.

The director of the Vatican press office, Jesuit Father Federico Lombardi, says the Pope has not given a commitment he will apologise to abuse victims and may simply refer to the issue in a "statement".

"I draw your attention to the term 'apology' that journalists are using," Father Lombardi said in Italian during a press conference.

"The Pope in the plane [to Australia] spoke of the problems of sexual abuse but I don't think he said he would apologise and I advise you to listen to what the Pope says when he raises the issue."

Father Lombardi later warned against pre-empting what the Pope might say, while speaking on ABC Radio's AM program.

"The question is maybe also about the word 'apology' because maybe you expect some particular meaning," he said.

"The Pope has explained very well already on the plane what he thinks about the problem. He has already said many things very clearly in the USA about this problem."

'Prevent, heal and reconcile'

But the pontiff was clear on Sunday when he told journalists in English that he would examine how the church can "prevent, heal and reconcile" the past crimes of the clergy.

"This is the essential content of what we will say as we apologise," he said.

Father Lombardi, who speaks limited English, says the Pope will probably speak about sex abuse in the church during a meeting with bishops and Australian novices on Saturday.

It was in the same forum that the head of the Catholic Church apologised for the scourge during a visit to the United States earlier this year.

The Pope's spokesman also says the pontiff is aware of the media coverage sexual abuse issues have been getting in Australia but will not directly intervene.

"Obviously he is informed but he respects very much the competence of the church in different lands," he said.

He says the Pope fully supports the Archbishop of Sydney, Cardinal George Pell.

"Naturally, the Pope always support the bishops in the entire world because they are the collaborators and the guiders of the church.

In Phillip Weiss' essay on First Things contributor, "David Shushon" in which he makes the case for "Shushon" being a pseudonym of David P. Goldman, he mentions that Goldman works for Asteri Capital Partners.

CORRECTION: The Asteri Capital Ltd. that David P. Goldman works for is a hedge fund backed by Marc Rich's commodity trading firm, Glencore.

Below is a link to a video(at approximately 5:00) of a man named David Goldman from an Asteri Capital appearing on MSNBC.

It seems that Laurent Murawiec, like Goldman is a player in The Great Game.
